Bernardo Gómez

Bernardo is a Partner in the Legal area at BDO Costa Rica, specializing in Real Estate Law. He brings over 22 years of experience as an attorney and notary public, with a deep focus on real estate transactions and property development. He advises some of the country’s most prominent real estate developers involved in high-end residential and commercial projects, providing legal counsel across all stages of development, from structuring and financing to administration and execution.

His expertise spans a wide range of real estate legal instruments, including development contracts, trust and escrow agreements, mortgages, and project financing. He has developed strong capabilities in condominium project structuring for both residential and commercial sectors, supporting efficient project delivery and long-term asset protection.

Bernardo holds an LL.M. with a specialization in Real Estate Transactions and Commercial Law from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law (Chicago, IL). He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Costa Rica and holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from UIA (Costa Rica).

He is a member of the Costa Rican Bar Association and the National Notary Directorate.
