BDO Costa Rica at the ASIPI 2025 Congress Buenos Aires

Gabriela Miranda, our Intellectual Property Legal Partner, participated in the latest edition of the Congress organized by the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI), held from November 30 to December 3 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The event brought together more than 800 intellectual property professionals and specialists from across the region.

Over four days of sessions and working meetings, Gabriela took part in key discussions shaping the current evolution of intellectual property, ranging from emerging trends in trademarks and data protection to innovation and the reinforcement of regulatory frameworks. The Congress also served as an opportunity to strengthen relationships with international colleagues and exchange perspectives on best practices.

Why our presence matters
Intellectual property is a critical driver of business competitiveness and long-term development. Active participation in forums like ASIPI allows us to:
  1. Anticipate regulatory and market shifts that may affect rights holders throughout the region.
  2. Maintain alignment with international standards in IP management and litigation.
  3. Enhance cross-border coordination, ensuring effective protection of trademarks, patents, and other intangible assets.
At BDO Costa Rica, our Intellectual Property practice covers the full lifecycle of intangible assets, from registration and monitoring to strategic management and defense. Knowledge gained in spaces like ASIPI helps ensure that our legal strategies remain on top of today’s industry challenges.
